Sometimes, when the Rhaetian Railway is short in power, the vintage Ge 4/4 I locomotives with 1184 kW are used to pull short passenger trains (usually they are in the freight service for the Albula tunnel II only). This day, the Ge 4/4 I # "Badus", which was built in 1947 by SLM, MFO and BBC and is in service for 71 years now (in a few days), is pulling the prestigious GLACIER EXPRESS GEX # 903, running from St.Moritz to Zermatt, on the section between St.Moritz and Chur. The train is on the slopes of the Albula line nearing Bergün. The panorama cars of the GLACIER EXPRESS, including a kitchen/bar car in the middle, were built by StadlerRail in 2006/2007.
