Amtrak Cascades trains use articulated train sets manufactured by Talgo designed for high-speed rail service. The trains operate over a 467 mile corridor from Vancouver, BC, to Eugene, OR. The service currently includes four daily round trips between Portland and Seattle, two daily round trips between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia, and two daily round trips between Eugene and Portland. Here the northbound train 508 departs the Albany depot a few minutes late from the scheduled 5:11 pm time. In the yard at Albany is the Portland Western's Toledo Hauler. The 90230 is a control cabs, built from ex-Amtrak F40PHs 230.
