A faded logo offers a hint to the identity of the tender belonging to former NdeM 4-8-4 "Niagara" No. 3028 which sits on the deadline at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad: "GNE" the Great North Eastern Railroad. The "GNE" was not an actual railroad, but rather, a foundation set up in 1966 with the intention to return NdeM No. 3028 to its "birthplace" of Schenectady, New York, where it would be restored to operation and displayed as an example of the ultimate in design and construction of the great American Locomotive Company. That foundation unfortunately disbanded and ownership was transferred to the ALCO Historical & Technical Society, the current owner of the locomotive.
