The Okanagan Express ran annually in the mid to late 1980s from Vancouver to the Okanagan Valley Wine Region in British Columbia. A Roger Puta Photograph After I posted this I received this note from thf9. "I grew up in North Bend BC on the CPR main line and I can tell you with out a doubt this photo was taken in North Bend yard with the OK Express west bound on the main line (true direction is south as the Fraser Canyon runs north and south at North Bend) Styoma Creek is in the back ground behind the bluffs and the cut bank in the back ground over the cab of 8836 is the Trans Canada Hwy #1 just north of Boston Bar BC. The fore ground is part of the lawns of the old hotel and restaurant 'Fraser Canyon House' These grounds, flower beds, and lawns were awarded the honor of the best kept on the whole CPR system for a number of years!"
