My locomotive inspection/company photo tour continued at American Motive Power Industries at Dansville, NY on February 22, where the first AMP-constructed GP38-3 for Larry's Truck & Electric (LTEX) and subsequently long-term leased to Central Maine & Quebec, is seen making its debut for executives of LTEX, CMQ and AMP. The CMQ 3816 was a complete frame-up rebuild from former LTEX GP35u 2509, Ex ATSF 2809 and 3309. Sister unit CMQ 3817 will emerge shortly from paint and the pair will be shipped to Newport, Vermont, for delivery and placement into service on the CMQ.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
