A loaded grain train grinds up the 2nd major grade since leaving Waterloo. The train is only 9 miles outside of Waterloo and will have to fight all the way to Dubuque the grades of eastern Iowa.
The Chicago Central began operations on December 24, 1985, and continued operating until the IC bought the property back in 1996. The IC ran it as a subsidiary until the Canadian National bought the IC in 1998.
