Cumberland to Cincinnati manifest Q317-23 slides by on the triple track section of track between Big Sandy Junction and Clyffeside heading for their last stop of Russell Yard before continuing west to Queensgate Yard with a fresh crew. At left, the former C&O Catlettsburg Passenger Depot, now the Russell Compton Railroad Museum, stands with several relics of ol' Chessie, including a concrete mileage marker, train order semaphore, and restored C&O caboose #3238.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
