Locked in a battle with gravity, a 120 car loaded grain train works up the southern slope of Tehachapi Pass the fading sunlight dips behind wind milled covered hills. These 100 plus car long grain train get added help over the mountainous tracks around the south western region of the United States. At Gallup, three mid train DPUs and two rear DPUs are add to the train' making the power configuration 4x3x2. This helps the train to move over the mountain grades of the Arizona Divide (7,335 ft), Ash Hill (2,100 ft), and Tehachapi Pass (3,600 ft).
