May 10, 2016 marked the 147th anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, linking the east and west coasts of United States with its first transcontinental railroad. This replica of engine 119 was completed in 1979, replacing the original built by Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works of Paterson, New Jersey in 1868 and scrapped in 1903.
