"The Crossing"
Despite the warm glow of the afternoon sun, it's still quite cold as CSX 4405 (GP40-2) running as CSAO SA2 shoves across one of the few remaining manually operated swing bridges. This one located in South River, NJ connects the 2 remaining customers, Silver Line Windows and Mauser, on the western section of the Sayreville Running Track. Built in 1910, the bridge remains closed during the winter season, but in early spring is left open so boats can access the Raritan River.
