Happy Presidents Day! It was 30 years ago when a decision to visit the Vancouver area and Fraser Canyon culminated in a blizzard that would close hwy 1 west of Boston Bar. But before getting caught in that, we were able to capture a shot of the New Westminster transfer job that connected with industires and BC Hydro and moved freight to/from CP's yard at Coquitlam. Heavy snow was falling which added to the atmosphere of a quartet of venerable Geeps handling this job, probably for 30 years prior to this photo. The train was exchanged at Coquitlam and the Geeps soon had a westbound return trip to New Westminster.
