In response to a potential Hurricane Joaquin making landfall in New Jersey, NJ Transit made sure their four P40BHs wouldn't be damaged by any means. NJ Transit ran the four P40s up the Boonton Line into Port Morris yard far away from any possible flood damage. The P40s were constricted to Newark Division service, so seeing them on the Hoboken Division is a very rare occurance. These units are in the process of being sold to CDOT.
