Remarks & Notes |
The privately owned 130 years old little saddle tank steam engine "Winifred" (597 mm/ 1 ft 10 3⁄4 in gauge) was built by the Hunslet Engine Co. in Leeds for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway to work at Port Penrhyn near Bangor, north Wales, and was in service til 1937. Operational again since this year, it is shunting empty slate wagons in a quarry near Blaenau Ffestiniog. This was a photo charter. |
