A 7-car Amtrak train #574, one of seven daily southbound San Diegans, arrives at the old Santa Fe station in San Juan Capistrano in January 1988. The train is led by cab car 9632, which was built by Budd in 1967 as Penn Central Metroliner coach 829 and later became Amtrak 829 before being rebuilt as a cab car for use with Amfleet cars. (HERE is how the station looked fifteen years earlier, in 1973.)
