BNSF Railway's hot Z-LACATG7-30 train (Priority UPS-LTL Intermodal; Los Angeles CA to Atlanta GA) sits and waits in front of the Fullerton, California, passenger station at 10:30 pm on April 30th, 2015. This train, with 7500, 4578, 6721 and 6879 for power, is stuck waiting for train R-CAL0063-30A, which consists of two locomotives (including Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751) destined for display at the upcoming weekend's Fullerton Railroad Days. Unfortunately, because of a broken turnout, the R-CAL0063-30A is blocking Main 1, and the dispatcher is most likely pulling his hair out due to the delay of a high priority intermodal train.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
