Built in 1905 for heavy freight work,Churchward designed "2800 Class" loco 2807 worked until withdrawn in March 1963.The loco then spent the next 17 years stored in the open at Barry scrapyard.Following a lengthy restoration, the loco is now a regular performer on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway.Unfortunately, due to the railway having no way of turning the locos,it is not possible to get this shot with the loco "smokebox first".With a fine background of the Cotswolds, here the loco is in charge of a Cheltenham to Toddington service, about to enter Greet Tunnel.
