Ab 608 was built by NZR Addington (Christchurch) in 1915 and named "Passchendaele" in 1925 as a War Memorial for over 400 railwaymen who perished in WW1. It is now owned by NZ Railway & Locomotive Society who restored it for the centenary. The train is seen crossing the 258 ft (78m) high Makatote Viaduct which is being re-painted at a cost of several millions.
