Freight cars begin to get offloaded from the barge and into Greenville Yard. There is a method to unloading; one string at a time, taking four cars off one of the side tracks first, before taking four cars off the opposite side to maintain balance of the barge. Once the two side tracks are emptied, the remaining three cars on the middle track are taken off. The process is repeated in reverse as cars are loaded onto the barge. As a side note, the engine is not allowed onto the float bridge due to weight restrictions, so a spacer car or two is used to pick the cars off of the barge, and place other cars onto the barge.
