A&M Train MNTN has worked the mill at Butterfield and is again on the move south of Exeter, MO as a grain truck patiently waits at the crossing for the big show known as the Monett Turn to pass. Looking back I realize that this was probably the last time I'd see the turn powered by ALCOs. Subconsciously I chose not to dwell upon the passage into history that was before me, but to simply contemplate the thrill of their charge down the line. I didn't realize it at the time, being caught up in the pursuit, but I'm glad it was that way.
