Roscoe Snyder & Pacific 600, SW-1500, kicks west Texas dust off the right of way tumbleweeds amid the cotton fields at Roscoe on Oct. 17, 1989 as it delivers repaired cars back to the U.P. The 32-mile shortline formerly existed to interchange traffic between the Santa Fe and Texas & Pacific even both lines connected at Sweetwater, Texas. The Staggers Act of 1980 eventually caused It to be abandoned in 1984, expect for this 1.5 mile portion serving a car repair shop.
