The Royal Canadian Pacific: There's something special about Canadian railroading. Maybe because the railroad was critical to the creation of the nation. Or maybe because people like Nicholas Morant and Gordon Lightfoot were it's greatest storytellers. Whatever it is, railroading north of the 49th parallel will always be a little more interesting, at least to this photographer. And there's no bolder statement in Canadian railroading than the Royal Canadian Pacific passenger train, seen here at Caithness, British Columbia. July 27, 2013.
