Three former Rio Grande GP60s, with No. 5702 in fresh Union Pacific paint, sit at Denver Union Station as back up power for the next day’s annual Cheyenne Frontier Days train seen a few tracks over. This view of DUS is now impossible, with all of the new development going on in this area of Lower Downtown, as well as with the station itself, presently closed and in the middle of a multi-year renovation.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
