An empty coal train from Big Stone City pauses in front of the former Milwaukee Road station in the Hub City before heading into the yard. Unlike most BNSF coal trains, the BSPX train will often run with Dash 9's.
This area was once riddled with tracks from the Milwaukee Road, Great Northern, CNW, and M&StL. There was a time when you could not get out of downtown without crossing railroad tracks. The Brown County Courthouse Looms in the background, right behind it is the old GN freight house. The former CNW station is now a bank and the M&StL station still stands 12 blocks south of here.
