One of the hottest trains on the Rio Grande in the mid to late 1980s were the 'Railblazer' sprint trains, #102 and #103. Here the westward variant is about 12 miles from the end of its 570 mile overnight journey from Denver. The ensuing 24 years have brought numerous changes to this landscape with businesses, homes, grade separation, and commuter rail altering what used to be a rural farming community.
