After being shipped to Vermont as part of White River Junction's Glory Days of the Railroad Festival last weekend, the Amtrak Phase I P42 #156 has spent the week assigned to the Vermonter trains. On September 12, the Vermonter is seen southbound at Sharon, Vermont, crossing the White River on one of the bridge that still has prominent Central Vermont Railway lettering.
The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
