In May, 1978, some friends and I headed to B&O's Cranberry Grade to catch some spring colors. It rained all three days. That said, railroading does occur in all types of weather and we tried to make the best of it. On May 4th, an eastbound B&O manifest struggles to lift its train upgrade just east of Amblersburg. A sharp eye will note the Amblersburg signals between the front of the locomotive and the code line pole.
