Amtrak "Superliner" coach 34008 has had its body raised by one of the two sets of permanent car jacks at the new Preventive Maintenance Facility at the carrier's Los Angeles engine and car shops. With the body removed, the trucks can be inspected, cleaned and, if necessary, replaced. The four hydraulic jacks lift the body in a matter of seconds.
