Despite massive traffic increases BN was able to retire Alcos, early GE's, EMD covered wagons, and even more modern units like SD45's,F45's and U33C's during the 80's. But as the 90's rolled around some pretty old 1st generation EMD's were still out and about with a lot of years of work left in them. Here's is one such set as 6183,2054,6193 and 6141 depart Omaha eastbound with a string of empty TOFC/COFC flats.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
