For an Alco lover like me, time spent on the LS&I was like being a kid in a candy store. I will forever the indebted to a fine gentleman named John B. Dorais. Mr. Dorais was the LS&I Manager-Personnel and Safety and he made it possible for railfans to have unprecedented access to the property. All one had to do was sign in at the office in Marquette, sign a release and get a badge, which you wore when on company property. This included riding trains if you asked. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure railfans enjoyed the LS&I. As far as the image is concerned, it is of three RSD15s assigned to the Dock Job laying over for the night on Sept. 11, 1986. If I recall correctly, I used 21 Press 25B flash bulbs to light the shot, one at a time. Thank you Mr. Dorais, for giving me the opportunity.
