Scenic Subdivision Bridge 4 at mile post 6 (measured from King Street Station) is a Bascule Bridge (aka, a drawbridge) over the Lake Washington Ship Canal which divides Seattle from its first north suburb Ballard. The lead axle is on the fixed portion of the bridge and the remainder on the lift portion. This is the lead unit on a very long southbound (RR west) grain train made up of 3 lead units, around 100 covered hoppers, three mid-train DPUs, another maybe 100 covered hopper and two trailing DPUs. I speculate the train came over Stevens Pass (through Cascade Tunnel) in this configuration and it was made up east of the pass (Wenatchee?) from two trains.
