Grab shots from a moving train rarely seem to work, however this shot, grabbed near Healy, two and a half hours south of Fairbanks, while riding #2 from Anchorage, netted over half of the ARR GP49 fleet - 2801, 2804, 2803, 2802 and one other at the Usibelli Tipple in August 1985. The train later went south to Seward over night.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
