"Closing Time, One Last Call For Steam:" The clock is ticking on the western slopes of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Within weeks the sounds of steam will occur only once a day as John Deere Built locomotives push aside most of the little 0-2-2-0s that call the mountain home. But even in what could be the 11th hours their careers, MWC number 9 attacks the hill with the thunder of a thousand yesterdays.
