Union Pacific's 'Potash Turn' arrives at the tail end of the 35 mile Cane Creek Subdivision through the small yard at Potash, Utah. This location just happens to be the lowest point on the entire D&RGW system at 3952 feet above sea level. For the sake of comparison, the Ibex Mine near Leadville, Colorado was the highest elevation point on the former D&RGW at 11,520 feet above sea level.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
