One of my favorite shots from last winter (06/07) at one of my favorite spots known to fellow rail fans as “The Slot”. This shot means a lot to me on a 11° day that started off with a some what nervous early morning call to my boss where I told him the truth as to why I wasn’t coming to work on such a busy day, and while he wasn’t happy he respected that. I snow shoed into a number of locations, but this one felt right. I hope you agree.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
